I started this blog to keep track of my development as a metal worker and jewelry artist. I was posting images of projects to Facebook, but they get lost too readily. It takes a lot of time to develop the skills needed to make items from metal. Projects have to be worked on in stages including: planning and design, sawing, filing, and sanding for shape, joining pieces together with soldering and riveting, sanding for cleanup and polishing, applying any finishes and so forth. It is great to see the final piece, but I wanted to show the process as well and that on any one day I could be working on something I started months ago along with something I started that morning.
Along the way I'll probably add some artisan-related posts.
